Care Instructions

Our magnetic products (sun cover, winter blanket and rain cover) are safe baby accessories as long as they are used as intended and with other baby safety guidelines in mind.

SAFE SLEEP - SIDS guidelines

Our magnetic sun, winter and rain covers are not swaddles or cot blankets. They are daytime sun, cold and rain protection accessories only.

They can be safely used as a drape in prams, carriers and other casual settings, but when done so responsibly and under adult supervision.

Always follow SIDS guidelines for safe sleep

Whenever your baby is asleep around our sun cover, winter blanket or rain cover, always ensure their face remains uncovered and they are never left unsupervised.

BABYWEARING - TICKS RULES

feature-item-1
T: TIGHT

Carrier tight with baby high and upright with head support.

feature-item-2
I: IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES

Always see baby's face by simply looking down. Ensure baby's face, nose and mouth remain uncovered.

feature-item-3
C: CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS

Baby should be close enough to your chin that by tipping your head forward you can easily kiss your baby on top of its head.

feature-item-4
K: KEEP CHIN OFF CHEST

Ensure your baby's chin is up and away from their body to not restrict breathing. Regularly check on them, they can be in distress silently.

feature-item-5
S: SUPPORTED BACK

Baby's back supported in natural position, tummy and chest against you. Support baby when bending over.

Never cover your baby's face while in a baby carrier with any of our products. Your baby's face should be visible at all times.

To protect your baby's head, use a hat or angle the cover so it shields the back of their head, leaving their face clear and in view.

COVERING YOUR PRAM - Do it the safe way

MAGNETIC SUN COVER
While our magnetic sun cover is air-permeable, always maintain sufficient air flow gaps when using it as a pram shade. Completely covering prams with any fabric, especially while in the sun, can increase temperatures inside the pram.

The safe way to shade your pram: Use directional shading to provide extra shade with the multifunctional magnetic sun cover. Cover the side of the pram the sun is coming from, leaving the other side open for air flow. Also leave any air vents of the pram open. The photos above show three different ways you can achieve directional shading.

A 2023 University of Sydney study also found wetting lightweight breathable fabric with water before draping it over a pram can decrease the pram temperature by three degrees, and combining the damp cloth with a fan, reduces the temperature even more.

MAGNETIC RAIN COVER

Do not fully cover prams with our magnetic rain cover - always leave ventilation gaps open for airflow.

Our magnetic rain cover is made of highly waterproof fabric and therefore does not have the same breathability factor as our sun covers.

MAGNETIC PUFFY SHERPA BLANKET

Do not fully cover prams with our winter blanket. It is multi-layered and does not have the breathability factor of our sun cover. Always ensure there are ventilation gaps open for airflow.

MAGNETS

Our magnetic snaps are encased in a layered pouch and sewn into the product multiple times so they are inaccessible to babies, toddlers and children. It would take serious tampering to reveal the magnets or remove them. If a pouch tears or rips, please discontinue use of the product and contact us.

Our magnets have good strength and snap together fast. Always remember to keep skin clear when fastening the magnets (particularly when using as a hoodie or shawl) to avoid accidental pinching.

LOOPS AND STRAPS

Functional loops

The magnetic sun cover consists of small functional fabric loops for attaching our adjustable straps for added uses and configurations. Please be mindful of little fingers and toes. Remember, always use under adult supervision.

Adjustable Straps

Our straps are useful accessories that can be used in a variety of ways, with and without the sun cover. Like with any other strap or cord, always use under adult supervision.

MAGNETIC RAIN COVER

Our magnetic rain cover is designed to protect your baby in a pram or carrier on rainy days. It is not a sun cover and should not be used as a pram shade on hot sunny days.

Always ensure proper ventilation when using the rain cover for airflow and to prevent condensation build-up inside the pram. Never completely seal the pram as this can create an unsafe environment for your baby. If your pram has mesh vents, open them for added airflow. Remove the rain cover as soon as you move under shelter or indoors.

Always closely monitor your baby when using the rain cover.

MAGNETIC PUFFY SHERPA BLANKET

Our magnetic puffy sherpa blanket is designed for warmth and comfort during daytime outings. It is not a swaddle, sleeping bag or cot blanket.

Monitor your baby's temperature regularly when using the winter blanket, particularly when moving between environments, for example, going from outdoors into a warm shop or car. Remove the blanket promptly when the surrounding temperature increases, as its insulating properties can cause your baby to overheat quickly. Signs of overheating include flushed cheeks, damp hair at the nape of the neck, and rapid or laboured breathing.

The magnetic snaps allow for easy attachment to compatible prams and carriers. Always ensure the blanket is securely fastened and monitor your baby to ensure they remain comfortable and safe.
